Star One é um projeto de Arjen Lucassen, o homem por trás do Ayreon.

Space Metal

Este álbum apresenta um relação maior com o "melodic metal" do que com o "progressive metal" do Ayreon, com letras inspiradas em várias séries de ficção científica da TV. Como no Ayreon, o álbum apresenta vários vocalistas: Russell Allen (Symphony X), Damian Wilson (Threshold), Floor Jansen (After Forever) e Dan Swanö.
